Un cotxe bomba ha explotat de matinada sense causar víctimes ni ferits a la porta de la comissaria de Dunmurry, als afores de Belfast, al nord d’Irlanda. Segons la investigació, el cotxe havia estat robat i conduït expressament fins allà.

El president del Consell de Policia ha dit que l’artefacte “estava destinat a matar agents”, tot i que no hi ha víctimes. Segons el diari The Belfast Times, rere l’atac se sospita que hi ha “republicans dissidents” –no l’ha reivindicat ningú encara–, tenint en compte que fa unes setmanes el Nou IRA va admetre que havia intentat d’atemptar contra una comissaria a Lurgan.
La primera ministra nord-irlandesa, Michelle O’Neill, del Sinn Féin, ha condemnat els fets i ha dit que els atacants “no parlen en nom d’absolutament ningú”. “No tenen cap visió, no tenen suport, no tenen res a oferir a la societat”, ha afegit. O’Neill ha assegurat que els ciutadans, però també les generacions futures, es mereixen de viure en pau.
