“Four good reasons for Catalonia independence” according to Russia Today TV

Russia Today television has devoted an entire program to talking about the situation in Catalonia, just a few months before the November 9th referendum on independence. They point out that a majority of Catalans are in favor of holding a vote as well as the advantages that independence would have. In the report, one of the channel’s reporters speaks with Catalan citizens and analysts, including Alfred Bosch, MP for ERC in the Spanish Congress. At the end of the program, they explain the “four good reasons for Catalonia independence”..

The first reason is that Catalonia is the community with the highest industrial production in the Spanish State, the second is that with independence, Catalans would avoid the fiscal discrimination to which they are subject in the Spanish State, the third, that Catalonia could better manage the resources that it produces, and fourth that it would be better able to maintain its characteristic identity: “The language, the flag, the history. So that its national identity would be recognized by the rest of the world.”
