More than 5000 human tower builders will demand the right to vote tomorrow as part of the event, “Catalans want to vote – Human towers for democracy“. The initiative is organized by Òmnium Cultural and aims to fill the squares of Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva, Rome, Lisbon and Barcelona, as well as forty-plus Catalan cities, and also Pamplona (Basque Country), Montreal (Québec) and Santiago (Chile) with this uniquely Catalan activity of building human towers, in order to spread the word about the Catalans wish to vote on November 9th in a referendum on their independence from Spain.

The Catalan human tower teams have all begun to travel to their destinations and are tweeting their progress on Twitter and in other social media. You can follow the hashtag #CatalansWantToVote to keep up with them and to see first-hand photos and comments. VilaWeb Global is translating a selection of tweets and publishing them in the special Timeline below. You can see *all* of the original #CatalanWantsToVote tweets on Twitter.
