Catalonia's Head of Library Services spoke to #CatalanTalk on Jan 28
Carme Fenoll is the Catalan Government's Head of Library Services. While she started out in small libraries, mostly on the Costa Brava, she is now in charge of Catalonia's 370-strong library system, that serves 25 million visitors and loans 15 million items.
Fenoll has promoted numerous innovative projects, including #BibliotequesambDO which links up wine culture, local authors, and local wine, and Wiki loves @bibliotequesCAT which teaches local librarians not only how to write their own Wikipedia entries but how to train patrons to use the collaborative technology.
She recently visited New York, and shared her observations of three NYC library systems with us: 10 Observations of NYC Libraries from a Catalan Point of View
