With little more than a week remaining for the Eleventh of September, the number of enrolments for the V organised jointly by the ANC and Òmnium is increasing. In recent days, an enrolment rate of around twenty thousand a day has been seen, and the total has now reached well over three hundred thousand. The organisation insists that the work is not yet done and that more enrolments are needed to make the giant mosaic with the Catalan flag between the Gran Via and Diagonal avenues. Of the seventy-three sections into which the eleven kilometre route is divided, the half of them are full already.
The sections in the central parts of the Gran Via and Diagonal avenues have filled a lot in recent days, but there are still a few with spaces, which are:
The top part of the Diagonal, from 6 to 10, between carrer de Numància and plaça de Francesc Macià.
The bottom part of the Diagonal, in sections 27 and 28, between carrer Sardenya and carrer de Roger de Flor.
The Gran Via has filled up a great deal, but there are still sections which are very empty towards the centre, specifically: 54 and 55, between Casanova and Aribau; 51, between Comte Borrell and Comte d’Urgell; 46, between Vilamarí and Entença; and also the end sections of the Gran Via between 37 and 42.
The website ullsvermells.com gives a real-time account of the percentage occupation of each section. At the present time almost 32% are full; 14% almost full; 19% very full; 15% half full; 15% not very full; and 5,5% fairly empty.
Another indicator of the great mobilisation to fill the V is the number of coaches. 1,538 have been reserved and there are practically none left available.
Shirt sales have risen considerably. According to the organisation, more than 150,000 have already been sold.
