Four Spanish police offers entered the pressroom of ElDiario.es newsroom, on the second floor of Madrid’s central avenue, Gran Vía, when they saw a Republican flag in the window. Iñigo Sáenz de Ugarte explained the event on Twitter. “It was quite clear to them that it was a symbolic gestured protected by the constitution,” he said. And afterwards, “When an officer said that today was not the day for such a gesture, I told him “don’t go there, because you’ll get mired in legal trouble.” And then they said goodbye amiably.
