Marta Rovira: “We will vote and we will win our future”

ERC’s Secretary General, Marta Rovira, defended the demand to hold a referendum this way, “Today we feel that we are not only defending a mandate of the majority of the people of Catalonia, but all the people of Catalonia. I would go further, those of us who defend the right to decide defend democracy, because voting is democratic.” And she demanded, “We want to arrive at an agreement with the Spanish Government so that on November 9th a referendum can be held. And that agreement depends on you. It’s easy, legal, constitutional, and possible.” Rovira finished her speech by saying, “It’s our hope, and no one can take it from us. We will vote and we will win our future.”
