72,000 visitors are expected at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress from February 24-27, 2014. Volunteers from the Catalan National Assembly would like to take advantage of this opportunity to take a further step in internationalizing the Catalan cause, underscoring the peaceful and democratic character of the movement and the will to be able to vote on the future of Catalonia next November 9. To do so, they will hand out 20,000 brochures at the principal entrances of the Mobile World Congress.

Part of the dyptic reads: “Today over 80% of Catalans want to be able to vote on self-determination, making use of their democratic and civil rights. On 11th September 2012, the Catalan national day, 1.5 million people demonstrated behind the demand for independence. A year later, and with the same demand, more than 1,6 million people formed a 400-kilometer human chain stretching across the country from north to south, the so-called Catalan Way.”

You can download a PDF or JPG of the informational brochure. Brochures are also available in Spanish, German, French, and Dutch.

In addition, the Sants-Montjuïc for Independence chapter has prepared a special campaign in Barcelona’s Plaça Espanya on February 26 at 5pm, in which they will hang different posters with a QR code that will redirect visitors to a website with interesting links about the November 9th referendum and the process toward independence.
