Pintades cap a l\u2019any 1200 per un taller d\u2019artistes segurament anglesos, representen l\u2019\u00faltim esclat del rom\u00e0nic i mostren la influ\u00e8ncia de l\u2019art de les croades. Per\u00f2 la seva hist\u00f2ria posterior, entre el foc i la pol\u00edtica, les ha convertides en un s\u00edmbol de la complexa relaci\u00f3 entre art, poder i identitat a Espanya.
