On Saturday more than 800 mayors participated in a public event in Barcelona to demonstrate this institutional support for November’s vote. Some days after, the importance of the support offered by mayors from different ideologies to Catalan higher institutions is observed in this video. Mayors from around Catalonia, from towns and cities such as Girona, Vic, Deltebre, Caldes de Montbui and Vilassar de Dalt, explain why they are determined to carry on the independence consultation vote planned for next 9 november. Most of them talk in English but there is also Vielha’s mayor adressing in Occitan, Aran Valley common language. The video has been published at Public Diplomacy Council of Catalonia’s webpage to explain the independence vote.
